Description
A character you might know well, from Beauty and the Beast.
In the story it is said that all Little Beauty wanted from her father was a rose. The only rose that could be found happened to be in a garden of a terrible beast. When the father was caught stealing the rose, the beast made him choose over his life, or his daughter. Little Beauty, being the kind girl that she was, went to live with the Beast so that he would spare her father.
Hopefully now, after reading this, you understand this illustration more. Beauty, prisoner in a beautiful garden -- brave and kind, but one tear to mark her fear and sorrow. The ribbon wrapped around her hand and bouquet symolizes the promise.
This is simply the lineart, you know. A splash of color from the computer just so you're not overwhelmed by all the lines. The color was added last minute, so don't critique me on that please. Just the ink people
It's been so long since I've been near a scanner, but I've had this done for a month now, I think. Apart of my True Life Fairy Tales series. I'm trying to depict our beloved princesses and heroines without the Disney sparkle.

gorgeous picture, but where's the roses? Anyways, it doesn not really matter, because this is awesome!
Just a little not,If you really like Beauty in the Beast, you should read "Beauty" by Robin Mckinley or her other story that is a remake "Rose Daughter." Those ar esome awesome books, and I really understood the real story after reading them.
